Near-Fatal Accident Triggers Lifelong Passion for Safe Driving
While I was a teenager, I was involved in a near-fatal auto accident.
Having almost lost my life because the driver of my vehicle fell asleep, I decided to do something about it. Since then, I have dedicated much of my life to educating new drivers (and their parents) on safe, smart, and skillful driving.
Rational, useful, and logical advice
Many people who experience a life-altering experience become possessed. They feel it is their mission to convert everyone to their way of thinking. They become intolerant, unreasonable, and difficult.
Thankfully, I am still a rational person who understands that teenagers are smart and fully capable of driving safely.
However, I do not believe in force-feeding and lecturing to students. I would prefer new drivers to think as opposed to memorize. Teens should think through the math of why the 3-second following distance makes sense. They shouldn’t memorize this information in order to pass some sort of driver licensing requirement. Yes, obtaining the license is important. But, driving safely is the lifelong goal that they will pass on to their children (your grandchildren) when it is time for your child to teach their kids.
I am not a driving instructor
I am not a certified driving instructor and I do not intend to become one for the simple reason that I do not wish to open a school and teach teens how to drive.
So, if you’re worried that the information and instruction contained within this site isn’t legitimate, please spend some time to read it. I think you’ll find that my instruction has been well-researched and conforms to every standard preached and practiced by driver’s ed instructors across the country.
I am not trying to sell you anything
